HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BE GETTING WAXED ?
-
It typically depends on your hair growth cycle, but most people find that getting waxed every 4 to 6 weeks works well. This allows hair to grow long enough for effective removal while keeping your skin smooth. If you're new to waxing, you might need to go more frequently at first as your hair grows in finer and sparser over time. Always listen to your body and adjust based on how your skin feels!
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A WAX ?
-
Grow Your Hair Out: Aim for 2-3 weeks of growth, that’s about 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice). This allows the wax to grip the hair effectively.
-
Exfoliate: For the face, please refrain from using any form of retinol or topical exfoliants for 3-5 days prior to your appointment. If you are on a prescribed topical acne medication or steroid, please let your aesthetician know and check with your provider before discontinuing the use of the product for your waxing service. For the body, gently exfoliate the area a day or two before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs.
-
Moisturize: Keep the skin hydrated in the days leading up to your wax but avoid heavy lotions or oils on the day of the appointment.
-
Avoid Sun Exposure: Try to avoid sunbathing or tanning beds for at least 24 hours before your wax to reduce sensitivity.
-
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your appointment; being well-hydrated can help your skin tolerate the wax better.
-
Take a Pain Reliever: If you're concerned about discomfort, you might take an over-the-counter pain reliever about 30 minutes before your appointment.
-
Try to Avoid Caffeine Day Of: Caffeine can make you jittery, anxious and a bit more sensitive.
-
Dress Comfortably: Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid irritation after waxing.
WHAT IS HENNA BROW TINT ?
-
Henna brow tint is a semi-permanent dye made from the henna plant that is used to enhance the color and shape of your eyebrows.
